A New Speaker Is Hitting The Market Soon & It Will Literally Blow You Away

A new speaker will be on the market soon, available to those who have the cash to shell out for such a unique item. The Phantom wireless speaker, produced by French audio company Devialet, is reportedly capable of outputting sounds that can reach as loud as a live rock concert without the wavelengths showing any kind of distortion. That’s 108 decibels ladies and gentleman.

That type of quality sound production will not be going for cheap. $1,990 is what the most basic model will run. Being wireless only in respect to the input source, the outer shell is comprised of plastic with the inner workings made out of kevlar to minimize stray vibrations from escaping the enclosure with the speakers designed with aluminum.

The technology has been dubbed “active cospherical engine loudspeaker” by its creators, with two speakers on each side emittig vibrations in an omni-directional pattern. To match the highs and mids created by the speakers, the bass had its own technology invented called “Heart Bass Implosion”, allowing the the lows to punch through the already dense over wavelengths.

A few features that come standard ad are pretty damn usefull is the pair of two Phantoms together dubbed “Dialog” mode. Even better, you can make this adjustment along with other through their app “Spark” via the Phantom’s built in WiFi network, through a bluetooth connection or a good ole’ hardwired analog chord. Available in three models, with two of them already being released, there is a lot to be desired when the latest test version is sent out for review!

EDMTunes Presents: Rising Talent

Each and every day, we get close to 50 track submissions from artists and producers from all over the globe. As a blog and a connoisseur of quality music, we make it a priority to use our social outlets as an avenue for up-and-coming producers to get their names recognized. With the abundance of tracks sent to us from every part of the world on a day-to-day basis, it’s definitely not an easy task picking out the great from the good. But with our love and passion for dance music, we will continue to strive for only the highest quality of music.

Our team here at EDMTunes pride ourselves on discovering new and undiscovered talent every week. We are constantly looking for the underground gems of electronic dance music and want to support those who truly deserve the recognition. We advise our producers to continue to submit their tunes to possibly be featured on this segment of our newly revamped: #RisingTalent series.

1. Wildfire

Wildfire has been in our sights with his incredible ear for unique remixes, profound melodies and driving basslines. He’s remixed the likes of Alison Wonderland, RL Grime, Major Lazer and more, and with every release he takes things to an entirely new level. With over a million plays on his “Run” remix alone, he’s bound for great success. His latest remix of Autolaser & PLS&TY “Hiding From the Rainbow” is a drum and brass filled heart pounder, and it’s one you have to grab at the free download below. Keep an eye out for this guy. Could be dropping heat like this on a big stage pretty soon.

2. Styline

Styline recently took our attention with his new original, “Suicide Squad.”  Dubbed under the genre, “Power House,” this track takes all the best elements of classic house and tech, and turns it up to 11. This German producer really could be onto something here, and if he plays his cards right, Power House could be one of the next big genres on the festival circuit. If you’re wondering what else you can expect from Styline, be ready for masterful percussive arrangements, envigorating synths, and all around catchy vibes.

3. Gunslinger

Mental Noise
Gunslinger landed on our site not too long ago. His single, “Mental Noise,” received an extended release in the form of a Gunslinger “Director’s Cut,” to give fans a taste of the original version of one of his hottest releases. The very concept of an artist taking time to re-release a track for free, giving back to the fans, and doing work outside of a label is crucial to an artist’s success in the modern scene. It’s all about the fans and he knows what the fans want. Delivering heavy hitting synths with heavy metal guitar-like qualities, and rolling bass notes, Gunslinger knows how to make the ground shake.

4. Mahama

Going more to the chill end of the spectrum, we have Mahama. Capitalizing on the continued popularity of tropical house, but putting his own spin on it, Mahama gives fans some serious ear-candy. Highly detailed tracks filled with organ, synths, chimes, shakers, filtered vox, guitar and piano make for really well rounded productions. Mahama as the talent to take himself through the dance industry with flare, but who knows, we could see him venture into the world of pop production given how catchy he’s been.

5. Tannergaard

Tannergaard brings the heat to the dancefloor with his productions. There’s few things more reliable than good old house, and Tannergaard gives us all the best of the classics with modern future bas elements to boot. Really we can see this act growing over time, developing his sound, brining in those nu-disco funky fresh vibes with that metallic gritty grunt of future bass and taking over something like the Neon Garden at EDC; give him time, it could happen. His remix of JT’s “Can’t Stop” is fun as hell, and a must grab free download.

Did This DJ Just Invent the Next Hit Genre: “Power House”

Power House

Styline – Suicide Squad (Original Mix)

Back from Vietnam after playing out his latest track on a proper sound system, Styline’s new Power House Release is ready for the masses. “Suicide Squad” is by far one of his most catchy and groovy tracks, packing a punch to make people move.

The groove was there from the start, and Styline knew he had the right sound design. He wanted to add a characteristic element though, that makes the track proper stand out. The Function-One sound system at 1900 in Vietnam played a huge role in tweaking the vibe and perfecting the sound.

“Usually if you have a groovy track, and we have a lot of percussion work going on in this one, it’s really hard to go into a more aggressive vibe. In this case, we gradually introduce it in the buildups and main breakdown, so that when it drops together with the lead synth it just tears the roof up big time!”

Styline first premiered “Suicide Squad” at the Storm Festival in China. It’s the first of his tracks to come out exclusively on his own label, Maskade, which will serve as the platform to bring fresh Power House to clubs and festivals around the world. “Suicide Squad” features all the best aspects of Styline you’ve come to know and love, with energetic synths, driving bass, and masterfully arranged percussion.

If you want to hear more from Styline, be sure to also check his remix of Pierce Fulton’s “Kuaga,” available as a Free Download. There’s much more Power House to come from Styline, so stay tuned and keep groovin’!

Oakland’s SuperCity Summer Lineup Has Arrived

How many of you remember SuperCity 50 from earlier this year? Well, it’s back – and this summer edition has a hot lineup to go hand-in-hand with this hot weather.

The lineup, which features top performers such as Skrillex, DJ Snake, Carnage, Krewella, Laidback Luke, DJ Sliink, Team Ezy, Kiiara and A$AP FERG, is a heavy-hitting group from which we can expect nothing less than stellar performances. Beyond that, it looks like the Bay Area could have a new festival taking over the rave scene. The SuperCity 50 event earlier this year was huge for Oakland when Alesso, Diplo and The Chainsmokers brought thousands to the Oakland Coliseum for its first outdoor rave. The Bay is no stranger to raves, as San Francisco has been known as one of the biggest playgrounds for underground ravers and house music DJs. It is reassuring to see the scene move beyond San Francisco proper and into the East Bay at such a large size.

Supercity Summer happens Friday, August 19th at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA. General admission tickets can be found here and start at $99 before taxes and fees. For all the rave crews out there looking for a discount, buy with friends: you can nab a great deal of buy three, get one free.

Showtek x Technoboy & Tuneboy – Mellow

Former hardstyle kings, Showtek, retired from hardstyle a few years back to venture into a new direction making house music. They have been very successful in the mainstream EDM circuit, but it is a breath of fresh air to hear them producing hardstyle once more; the genre that gave them their rise to fame.

TNT (aka Technoboy & Tuneboy) have had long and successful careers in hardstyle and each of them have built a solid reputation. Creating their new TNT brand has taken them in a different direction with their music and combined fanbases from both to solidify them as some of hardstyles biggest hitmakers. For these current masters of hard dance to collaborate with the legendary Showtek is a recipe for a huge hit. Could this be the return of Showtek to the hardstyle world, or is it just a teaser? Have a listen to ‘Mellow’ below and enjoy.

Flosstradamus‘ long-awaited collaboration with Hawaiian producer Graves and vocalist Post Malone (along with FKi 1st and Key) has finally arrived, seeing a welcome departure from the producers’ respective styles towards a more downtempo, future bass-infused heater. Having been teased at live shows for the past several months, the respective fanbases of the contributors can now finally jam out to “Came Up” in full. It’s also now available for purchase here.

The track starts with Post Malone’s over a resounding series of atmospheric synth pads and distant percussion hits. Styline – Suicide Squad

Just in time for the weekend, the “power house” pioneer himself has released a new track to get the weekend started the right way; with some dancing. The German born, independent producer, Styline, has created a name for himself with his global tour as well as his partnerships with various large corporations. His local residency at M1NT night club in Shanghai has definitely gave him some traction in the scene as well. He has a unique style of blending an underground feel with a more mainstream sound that has a lot of people excited.

His new track, “Suicide Squad,” was released as the first exclusive on his very own record label, Maskade. From the intro, all the way until the end, Styline creates an irresistible groove. The intro goes straight into a build that leads us right into the first power house infused drop. With a thumping bass line and high energy percussion perfectly interwoven together, this track is surely going to stir up some club dance floors. He later introduces a ravey supersaw synth that brings new energy while keeping your interest piqued as the song develops. Be forewarned, this song will make you move. Check it out below or snag a copy on Beatport.

Diplo Is Moving To India & Compares Trump To ‘The Purge’

Back in February, Diplo joined Zedd and Steve Aoki in supporting Bernie Sanders’ campaign for the democratic nomination. However, along with his support, the grammy-winning producer declared a hefty ultimatum if the Bern failed to receive the nomination.

if @berniesanders loses the democratic nomination I’m staying in india until 2018

— dip (@diplo) February 17, 2016

Well, as Clinton officially clinches the nomination and the DNC attempts to climb out of serious controversy, it seems Diplo has more reason than ever to flee the country. So it’s a bit curious to see Diplo holding down the fort at the DNC in Philadelphia, but we trust him to keep things in check in his hometown.

Even if Diplo does move to India, we can only imagine the impact that environment would have on his already eclectic production. But regardless of whether he follows through on his ultimatum, we’re glad to see Diplo maintain his stance regarding Donald Trump’s campaign.

I’m watching the purge movie and it feels like life under @realDonaldTrump
