Kygo & Ellie Goulding – First Time

Wait no more, as Kygo and Ellie have released their brand new collaboration today and it is hot! The song talks about reminiscing an old relationship, and despite all she would do it all over again. Kygo stays true to his tropical vibe style, although this time he keeps it a little more chill than usual.

Kygo has had a busy year so far! Earlier this year, he released the popular collaboration ‘It Ain’t Me’ with Selena Gomez, and it doesn’t look like he is stopping any time soon. We are excited to see what other artists he will collaborate with in the future.

In the meantime, listen to the track for yourself below! We can’t wait to hear the sick remixes that will come out of this!

The Golden Pony – Passionfruit (feat. Denham)

The Golden Pony – Passionfruit (feat. Denham)

The Brooklyn curly-haired duo consisting of Timothy Monkiewicz & Thomas Murphy, also known as The Golden Pony, return to Uprise Music alongside vocalist Denham with a summer ready jam. Just a few months ago the duo released an incredible Pop/Dance record, “Lost In Illusion” featuring Megan Vice, just in time for Miami music week which racked up around 500,000 plays across all platforms.

This time around they decided to tackle everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure right now, Drake’s track “Passionfruit” off his More Life album. Denham lent her silky smooth vocals to create the perfect vibe for their deep house production. Keep an eye on this duo, as they plan on dropping a ton of new original material in 2017. You can check out The Golden Pony’s version of “Passionfruit” on Soundcloud below.

Ja Rule, The Bahamas Release Statements On Fyre Festival Disaster

fyre festival

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 24 hours, you’re probably aware of the disaster that is the Fyre Festival, a once-intended luxury party in Exumas, The Bahamas. The event, put on by Ja Rule‘s company Fyre, has turned into one of the biggest shitshows of a festival we’ve seen in a long time.

After hours of leaving individuals who intended to attend the festival stranded on the island, Ja Rule released the following statement this afternoon:

— Ja Rule (@Ruleyork) April 28, 2017

This ultimately continues to leave us to question the lack of capabilities and communications among the festival’s planners, as the artist refuses to admit that this is his fault but he is still willing to take responsibility for it. Something, it seems, is a little off here.

The @VisitTheBahamas account on Twitter, which calls itself the “Official Twitter account for The Islands Of The Bahamas”, also posted this statement today:

Bahamas official statement on Fyre Festival #FyreFestival

— The Bahamas (@VisitTheBahamas) April 28, 2017

Based on these statements and the general silence from Fyre Festival on social media, it’s safe to say that there are many questions to be answered around why this event fell apart.

Road To Ultra Asia Tour

In 2012 Ultra started a new concept called Road to Ultra. They wanted to expand their brand even further across the globe and this was a great way to do it as a new festival series. Road to Ultra would be new international festivals similar to their Ultra Worldwide events, and have one stage events while still featuring the most cutting-edge technology in production and stage design.

Just announced was a new series of Asia shows. Ultra will be coming to four cities across Asia in 2017 so if you are a fan in that area be sure not to miss these. Starting in New Delhi India on September 8th, then Taipei City in Taiwan September 10th, Hong Kong on September 16th and Manila in the Philippines on September 15th. As Ultra continues its global journey, be sure to stay up to date with their latest events as they are now everywhere. Keep your eyes open for tickets to these events.

Matthew Koma Follows Up ‘Dear Ana’ With Lyrical Video

photo MK_DearAnaFtJaiWolf_cover_zpsmdpwu3fg.jpgLast Friday, Matthew Koma released his new single with Jai Wolf titled ‘Dear Ana’. The track was a somber memoir of Koma’s struggle with an eating disorder that almost killed him.

This morning, the accomplished singer/songwriter followed the track up with a lyric video and allows his audience to sing along with Koma as he spills his heart out. Koma’s heartfelt lyrics, “You have carried me away for too long”, accurately portray his struggles and emotion behind his former issues.

Watch the lyric video for Dear Ana below and keep an eye out for more material from Koma soon.

Insomniac Officially Reveals Complete EDC 2017 Lineup & It Is STACKED

Last night, we were treated to 27 minutes of mixes wherein fans were forced to identify artists’ songs to find out who was playing at EDC this year. Thankfully, the real, full lineup is coming out today anyway, so we don’t have to agonize that long.

And while we believe we got most of the names on the lineup, there are a few things last night’s broadcast didn’t tell us about. First, any of the massive back to backs that are bound to happen. Usually a staple of the bassPOD, last year saw many back to backs at neonGARDEN as well, and this year there’s one big one on the agenda: Alison Wonderland b2b Diplo b2b Jauz on Sunday. Wow. Additional sets include Megalodon b2b Midnight T, Phiso b2b Ponicz, and Mad Dog b2b DJ Anime. There are surprisingly few back to back sets this year, compared to the dozen or more that were scheduled last year.

Second, any of the art car takeovers. This year will see takeovers from Monstercat, LA-locals Brownies & Lemonade, as well as Desert Hearts, Psytribe and Trap Nation.

Third, any special performances. Markus Schulz will be performing Dakota at EDC, and Porter Robinson will bring his live WORLDS performance to the Speedway for the very first time. Dozens of artists will also make their EDC Las Vegas debut this June, from Cut Snake, Kygo, Griz, and Mija, to REZZ, RÜFÜS DU SOL and many more.

On Planets Needs Some “Personal Space” With This Phenomenal New EP

I’ve been following and covering On Planets for a little while now, but never before has he exhibited his musical identity as clearly and as beautifully as he’s done with his new EP, Personal Space.

On Planets sings on every track, already giving it a personal touch that so many producers are realizing gives their music more body and soul (Anna Lunoe and Goshfather, just for two). Fans have already heard “Cure” and “Too Bad / So Sad,” with “First Tour” and “Chapter” now being introduced.

It’s a brilliant blend of indie and electronic, using soft chords and intricate melodies to evoke an emotional and physical response in listeners. Before you know it, you’re unconsciously bobbing your head and moving your body, letting the music control your sway and rhythm. Listeners will find greatest pleasure in this EP when they just succumb to the music…

Personal Space is out now via Majestic Casual, listen below and grab a download here.

Who Is Crash Land?

Earlier today we got a special treat from Martin Garrix, who shared a preview for a track released today on his label, STMPD, from a new artist who goes by “Crash Land”. It features breathtaking fully produced video that follows an astronaut as he takes a journey through an alien planet and leaves us to wonder, who is this? Judging by the video and track’s production quality, seems like Garrix’ team is putting something big together.
The production behind the track is definitely top quality, almost as if Martin produced it himself but with vocals that are different from what we’ve heard on his other project Area 21. If this isn’t Area 21, then who could it be?
