Redfoo & VINAI – Everything I Need (Spinnin’ Records OUT 16th FEBRUARY)

THIS NEW GEM IS EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FROM REDFOO AND VINAI

“Awesome stuff” — EDMjoy.com

VINAI is back and joins forces with the one and only party rocker Redfoo for their new single, Everything I Need.

VINAI, a pair of Italian brothers, landed at number 32 on the DJMag Top 100 DJs, this year – up five from the previous year. This symbolises their ever-increasing momentum and the commitment they have to their careers. It’s massive performances at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival that really cement the duo at the top of the EDM ladder.

In 2016 they did their first step into pop music with the song Into The Fire, followed by Stand By Me and recently, Where The Water Ends. Not only do they produce and DJ at a world-class standard, they now run their very own record label, ZEROTHIRTY. VINAI are on track to building an empire, and it seems like nothing will slow them down.

“We really enjoyed working with RedFoo. He’s one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. He has an amazing voice and he was one of our idols at the beginning of our career. We really hope you guys will love this song as much as we do” – VINAI

A multi-Grammy-nominated recording artist/DJ, Redfoo is co-creator and one-half of electro-pop dance duo LMFAO. The group is best known for their chart-topping single Party Rock Anthem and other popular hits like Sexy and I Know It. As a hit songwriter and recent solo artist, Redfoo is known for his international hits Let’s Get Ridiculous, New Thang and Juicy Wiggle. Hobbies include coding the BlockChain, playing tennis and spending quality time with his girlfriend Jasmine, and their St Bernard named Whiskey.

“Everything I Need was written to communicate love and passion in a relationship that has started to show signs of doubt. Creating music with Vinai is effortless ‘cause we have a true artistic connection.” – REDFOO

Everything I Need will make your heart skip a beat, as this downtempo gem shows a different side to the Californian hot shot, Redfoo. The edgy vocals fuse with delicious chords and popping percussion. Put simply, it’s everything you need right now!

Redfoo and VINAI’s new single, Everything I Need, is available from 16th February via Spinnin’ Records.

What So Not ft. Winona Oak – Beautiful

Beautiful

What So Not ft. Winona Oak – Beautiful

Earlier today, What So Not released the third single off his highly anticipated album Not All The Beautiful Things. The song, ‘Beautiful‘ came to life in the Nicaraguan jungle while Chris ‘Emoh’ Emerson and Swedish singer Winona Oak bonded in the studio. The track complements the other two singles ‘Be Ok Again’ and ‘Stuck in Orbit’ beautifully with Winona’s soft melodic voice and Emerson’s deeply dark drop.

What So Not took to Twitter to give fans some background on the track:

‘Beautiful’ enters delicately with Winona’s internal dialog. There’s a sense of optimism, anxiousness & longing, but also an undertone of sadness. All reinforced with the incredible duality along her vocal range.

— WHAT SO NOT (@WhatSoNot) February 27, 2018

We put this together in the jungle of Nicaragua which definitely had a sizable impact on the sound pallet but one of my favorite things has to be how ‘Robert Plant’ Ryan McMahon (Captain Cuts) managed to propel his vocal adlib.

— WHAT SO NOT (@WhatSoNot) February 27, 2018

This album contains some seriously exciting collaborations, from Skrillex and the four-years-in-the-making track ‘Goh’ to legendary “Africa” rockstars: Toto on ‘We Keep Running.’ There is absolutely no doubt this is about to be a killer first album from What So Not.

Get hyped for the debut with the track list below, and keep scrolling to stream ‘Beautiful.’

The Chainsmokers Ask Reddit About Swedish House Mafia at Ultra

No matter what anybody does or says, the Swedish House Mafia hype for Ultra’s 20th Anniversary will just not go away. As we’ve said many times there is no concrete evidence that it will happen, but that doesn’t mean fans will stop hoping. If you browse Reddit or Ultra’s Facebook group, the speculation is nearly nonstop. The latest Reddit post about the topic is a bit unique, since it was started by The Chainsmokers.

Yes, really. The Chainsmokers started a new post on everybody’s favorite Ultra topic on the r/EDM page.

Swedish House Mafia this year at ultra… yes or no? from r/EDM

It didn’t take long for fans to notice that, hey, this is actually The Chainsmokers’ verified account asking the question. Quickly, hilarity ensued. Unfortunately the duo didn’t engage in the comments, so obviously they are just trolling everybody. Even if The Chainsmokers veered far from Progressive House, these 2018 headliners are clearly fans of the biggest Ultra headliners of 2013. Do you think the SHM members are fans of The Chainsmokers as well?

Boerd – Blind

blindBoerd – Blind

Rising Stockholm DJ and producer Boerd has made his debut on Anjunadeep with his new release ‘Blind‘. This track comes off his mini-album Static which will be released on April 6th.

Bård Ericson began fiddling around with music since he was 15 in the world of chiptune (composing via the means of 16-bit video game consoles) and eventually went on to play live shows throughout Europe. Bård gets his influence for his career from previously playing double bass with the Swedish Royal Opera, Swedish Radio Symphony, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestras.

‘Blind’ is a slow and relaxed track, showcasing Bard’s extreme attention to detail. Every synth and sound seems perfected and truly from an emotional standpoint, and when the vocals come along, it’s a form of beauty. You can tell that Boerd really expresses his feelings through his music, rather than just putting together a track with a ‘banger’ drop. Make sure you listen and stay tuned for more from the 26-year-old DJ.

KEY4050 (John O’Callaghan & Bryan Kearney) EDC Mexico Set

key4050KEY4050 (John O’Callaghan & Bryan Kearney) EDC Mexico Set

In 2016, the world of trance got some shockingly awesome news when John O’Callaghan and Bryan Kearney announced that they joined forces to form KEY4050. They played Dreamstate in 2017 in SoCal, delivering a fulfilling trance set at their debut. Fast forward to 2018, and they played a set at EDC Mexico over this past weekend that was heavily talked about among the trance community.

The beauty of this set was that there were a TON of ID tracks, the majority by KEY4050 themselves. They played a set solely of their own stuff, really pushing out their own tracks to fans. This is something you should do as a new group, but both these artists boast an array of hits themselves and don’t necessarily need to do that. This shows fans that they are really serious about their project, and this only leads to good things for trance lovers. Watch the full set below!

Desert Hearts Is Taking Over Thursday Of Lightning In A Bottle

Related imageAt most three-day camping events, you are able to arrive a day earlier than the festival actually starts and are given a ‘free day’ that normally has no major schedule of music/activity- or what most call “day zero”. The Do Lab’s annual Lightning in a Bottle festival that takes place March 24-28 in Bradley, CA, has just thrown that concept to the wind and replaced it with something epic.

Organizers announced that Desert Hearts Records will be doing a full day takeover on Thursday 11am-5pm. Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky will be hosting the festivals first ever Lakeside Launch Party that will fill the hours of day zero with endless tech house.

Ever since the re-appearance of the lake, there is a lot of possibility for activity. For example, this past year there was floating renegade stages with tons of floaties latched on as sets were played throughout the day.

We commemorate whoever thought of the idea to have Desert Hearts play an all-day lake party on Thursday before the rest of the weekend even begins- this takes things to a whole new level. Grab your tickets here before they sell out, and see you on the lake!

Game. Fucking. Over.

Rob Swire Confirms Pendulum Remix Album, First Artist Reveals Himself

After yesterday’s stunning announcement that Pendulum has an album on the way, Rob Swire confirmed that The Reworks is in fact, as many suspected, a remix album. He continued on to say “and then new music n stuff at some point yay”… we know the pace Swire works at, so we aren’t holding our breath for a full original album before the end of 2018, but at the same time, we want it bad.

Yes, remix album and then new music n stuff at some point yay

— Rob Swire (@rob_swire) February 27, 2018

On another note, one of the artists on the remix album has essentially just confirmed his participation in it Grabbitz. There’s no word yet on what part he’ll play – if he’s doing a full remix on his own or something else – but he’ll be on it.

Thanks to the fans at /r/Pendulum, we can also guess a few other artists and tracks on the album (none of these have been confirmed): Pegboard Nerds “Witchcraft” remix, Noisia “Hold Your Colour” remix, Matrix & Futurebound “Watercolour” remix, Ekali “The Island” remix, The Prototypes “Blood Sugar” remix.

All will be revealed March 16, or perhaps a bit earlier.

deadmau5 Shares Behind-The-Scenes Look As Orchestra Plays Out His Song [WATCH]

It looks, or sounds rather, like deadmau5‘s orchestral release is coming along quite well!

In the video below, the producer lets us in on a closed session as an orchestra completely transforms what fans believe to be a version of “Invidia.” Hearing the work of deadmau5 take on new life through a true instrumental arrangement cannot be put into words, it can only be heard and marveled over.

The legendary producer is thrilled with the results. “There’s nothing better in my world than being able to sit in during a few recording passes of this. Unreal.”

The original version of the song will give you a feel for “Invidia,” but the orchestra takes it to another level as it’s played out live!

What So Not Drops Absolutely “Beautiful” Track As 3rd Single Off Debut Album [LISTEN]

What So Not‘s next single is here and it’s as “Beautiful” as to be expected!

Running in the same direction as much of WSN’s work, “Beautiful” featuring Winona Oak builds around an emotional, driving beat and opens into a whole world of inspiring sounds. In part a title track from the producer’s forthcoming debut album Not All The Beautiful Things, this single is sure to ignite chills as it focuses on finding the beauty in the broken, the flawed.

What So Not explains: “‘Beautiful’ enters delicately with Winona’s internal dialog. There’s a sense of optimism, anxiousness & longing, but also an undertone of sadness. All reinforced with the incredible duality along her vocal range. It’s always intrigued me how this song evokes such a feeling of freedom & open space yet the protagonist sounds quite troubled. I think the hypnotic & intoxicating energy of the production also adds to this perplexity. We put this together in the jungle of Nicaragua which definitely had a sizeable impact on the sound pallet but one of my favorite things has to be how ‘Robert Plant’ Ryan McMahon (Captain Cuts) managed to propel his vocal adlib.”

This release join “Be Ok Again” featuring Daniel Johns and “Stuck In Orbit” featuring Buoy, both off What So Not’s new record, due out March 9. At this rate, Not All The Beautiful Things has all the makings to be one of the best electronic albums of 2018.

What So Not completely nails it with this one, per usual… Listen below and sing along with the lyrics!

What So Not – “Beautiful” featuring Winona Oak

Your EDM Premiere: LIHO – Fly Away With Me [Free Download]

You ever wake up in the morning and find yourself in the chilly mountains of a foreign country with only your beloved dog and a pot of coffee slowly percolating outside your tent? Probably not that often, but that’s exactly how LIHO’s new song “Fly Away With Me” makes us feel.

The song is soft in all the right places, playing with melodies and steel drums, tantalizing synths and an easy-going beat. It’s a lullaby in the best ways, drawing you into a sense of peacefulness and serenity, slowly pushing away all negative thoughts. It’s a home remedy for unwanted machinations in the form of a musical composition, the easiest form to digest.

It’s doubtful you’d hear “Fly Away With Me” dropped in any sets other than LIHO’s own, but sometimes that isn’t the point of music like this anyway. Check it out below and grab the free download if you’re feeling it.
