TWO LANES Releases Emotional Bass Single “Away”

The quickly rising duo, TWO LANES, have released through Trap Nation’s Lowly Palace their newest single “Away“. The mysterious brothers give the listeners an experience with their newest single. The emotional breakdowns and bass-heavy drop will take you so far away.

The track starts off with emotional, organic, and melodic sounds. As the song progresses, the vocals in the background keep adding more emotion to the already powerful chord progression. Furthermore, the buildup gives the drop a great introduction. The melodic bass-heavy drop will take you away in to another dimension. Overall, the track delivers a mysterious, dark, and emotional vibe.

The duo have gained an enormous amount of traction by Trap Nation and Proximity. They have also reached the HypeM #1 twice. Their remixes of RÜFÜS, Odesza, and Justice as well as their superb music production have placed TWO LANES in the map. If you have not already done so, keep a close eye on the duo as they have reached these amazing feats in just 8 months of releasing music.

PLS&TY – Down For Me (Morgan Page Remix)

PLS&TY Down For Me Morgan Page Remix

PLS&TY – Down For Me (Morgan Page Remix)

It seems that Miami-based producer PLS&TY can do no wrong as of late. While he has been keeping busy by releasing a bunch of killer remixes, just last month he took the time to drop yet another chart-topping original entitled ‘Down For Me‘. And now he’s decided to change things up. Instead of releasing another remix, he’s having another producer remix one of his original tracks. For this ‘Down For Me’ remix he’s enlisting the help of none other than veteran producer Morgan Page.

While the original track is the epitome of everything we love about PLS&TY, Morgan Page spins the track on its head and completely reworks it. But in a great way. He brings his own signature sound to ‘Down For Me’ and it works beautifully. If you enjoy Morgan Page’s work then there’s no reason why you won’t love this remix.  So give the remix a listen and be sure to grab your copy in the link below.

Sage Armstrong & Astronomar – Up Down Left Right

Sage Armstrong & Astronomar – Up Down Left Right

After their track ‘100 MPH‘ on Night Bass Records, it was only a matter of time before Sage Armstrong and Astronomar teamed up again. Both big fans of future acid sounds in their house music, it’s no surprise how ‘Up Down Left Right‘ turned out. While this weird, bass laden monster of a track stands tall on its own, the folks over at Psycho Disco! were determined to do one better. Well, technically, four better. That’s right, this release will come with four additional remixes for any type of party.

The original track is four solid minutes of intense bass, precisely placed and arpeggiated high hats, and groovy vibes. Featuring trippy, distorted vocals by Sage himself, ‘Up Down Left Right’ will have your body moving in many different way. The combined effort of Armstrong and Astronomar stretches and compresses the listener throughout the track. It leaves you feeling all the weird energy these two househeads embody.

The first remix comes courtesy of label boss Treasure Fingers. This remix is a testament to the acid disco vibe that incited the Psycho Disco! label into existence. Weird in all the right ways, you can feel the musical mastery in this production. Steady Rock comes in second, bringing a Bass House twist to the original. Heavy hitting on the high and low ends, this remix is great for those high energy, in your face house parties.

Hunter Reid and Garneau round out the release with two impressive reworks of an impressive track. An important rising artists to keep in your registry, Hunter Reid delivers nothing but perfection in this remix. Full of the bumping energy that is becoming an essential, unique element of his tracks, Reid accentuates the drive of the song with psychedelic phrases and well placed, one off stabs. Finishing out the track release strong with an old school treatment, Garneau is definitely here to drop some vibes. Throw in a little breaks and you’ve got yourself an incredibly unique track.

With so many high quality options to choose from it is impossible to have a favorite. You can listen to the entire release below and get your fill of ‘Up Down Left Right’. You’ll definitely want to get to a show to hear these tracks. Your home stereo or iPhone headphones won’t even begin to touch the bass in this release.

Marijuana Dispensary Opens Up In Los Angeles With Kaskade Branding

A new marijuana dispensary in Koreatown, Los Angeles has opened up. It’s nothing new in the city, dispensaries are always coming and going. The issue with this particular dispensary is its name and branding, which strongly (read: exactly) resemble that of producer/DJ, Kaskade.

The Kaskade Collective sells a variety of cannabis products, from flower to edibles. Unfortunately, the name Kaskade is trademarked by the DJ, who also happens to be a devout Mormon – a religion which has explicitly banned cannabis since 1915.

The association between the DJ and the Collective is troublesome for the former and his team, who were “taken by surprise” when they learned of the dispensary’s existence. Magnetic Mag reached out to Kaskade’s team, who said that the dispensary has agreed to change its name in the next five days, avoiding legal action.

It’s hard to believe the dispensary wasn’t aware of who Kaskade was, considering his name is often plastered on billboards all across Hollywood. Nevertheless, this story seems to have a happy ending.

Here’s DJ Kaskade’s logo for comparison.

David Guetta & Black Coffee Team Up For Impressive Collab “Drive” [LISTEN]

In one of the most unexpected collaborations of the year, David Guetta has teamed up with Black Coffee for deep house stunner — “Drive” featuring Delilah Montagu.

This low key track is the definition of easy listening. Vocals, with no pun intended, drive the song forward as Black Coffee and David Guetta meet in the middle with a silky blend of electronica and South African house.

Considering how long both of these producers have been in the game, it’s a wonder it took them this long to work together. However, their go-to styles aren’t typically this in sync.

“This project has been a very unique and cool experience,” Black Coffee explains. “I’ve stepped a bit out of my comfort zone, but music always wins.”

“Drive” is just one of the many collaborations forthcoming on David Guetta’s next album 7. Other credits including Anne-Marie, Sia, J. Balvin, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki and Justin Bieber prove Guetta truly is the king of collabs.

It isn’t everyday that commercial EDM and the underground cross paths like this, but we know a good thing when we hear it. Enjoy!

Carnage Teases Remix Of Unreleased XXXTentacion Track “Voss”

XXXTentacion was gunned down June 18. His hundreds of thousands of fans mourned his death, while his critics continued to point out the many legal troubles he had faced. He also left behind a lot of unreleased music, including “Voss” with Sauce Walka. The track is set to appear on rapper Sauce Walka’s forthcoming mixtape, Drip God, but it looks like Carnage already has his sights set on a remix.

Carnage posted the following video yesterday on Instagram with some added bass and 808s, conveying a remix was playing rather than the original. Along with some dance moves from Carnage, the video pans out to what appears to be a resort-side ocean.

No further details are available about the remix at this time, but it’s no surprise that Carnage, if anyone, decided to remix XXX. Check out the preview below.

Zedd Sparks Rumors Of A Katy Perry Collaboration In Tour Recap Video

Zedd has toured the world as a headlining DJ and musician, but he’s spent the last two weeks in rare form as an opener with none other than international mega-star Katy Perry. While he has the ability to turn Australia and New Zealand on his own, the audience exposure with Katy Perry on the bill is invaluable for the artist who’s been breaking into the pop realm.

And while the video is nice and all, fans are excited for a different reason. Pretty soon into the video, there’s a clip of Zedd and Katy in the studio together, unsurprisingly sparking rumors of a forthcoming collaboration.

Zedd has worked with Eva Simons, Lindsey Stirling, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and even Thirty Seconds To Mars, so there’s no reason to think a Katy Perry collaboration isn’t within the realm of possibilities. However, other than this brief clip, there’s no other evidence. Then again, when you’re an artist of Zedd’s size, every small detail is scrutinized and executed with a purpose.

Check out the video below.

Can’t find an appropriate caption to sum up all the amazing things I’ve experienced in 2 weeks in AU / NZ!
Thanks for all the love and thanks to @katyperry. 🙌

Your EDM Premiere: Celldweller – Louder Than Words (Neonlight Remix)

Celldweller is a pretty big artist in his own lane, and Neonlight is a fast up-and-coming drum & bass duo out of Germany, and now they’ve come together for a remix of the former’s “Louder Than Words.”

With Celldweller’s vocals already stunningly produced, there wasn’t much for Neonlight to do except pump up the tempo and turn this into a wild 174 banger. The original rock-meets-electronic song is transformed into a fully realized heater with new synths and a tantalizing arrangement.

“Working on ‘Louder Than Words’ was pure fun! There are really a lot of details in the original, so we had plenty of ideas what to do with the audio files. We focused on the main vocals and transferred the chord progression to our remix. Rolling beats and an uplifting hookline combined with funky reese basses rounded up the arrangement.” – Tobi & Jakob (Neonlight)

The energy on Neonlight’s “Louder Than Words” remix never stops! Check it out below now and get it here.
