Hotel Garuda Releases Official “Fixed On You” Remix EP

Hotel Garuda saw a meteoric rise to the spotlight characterized by the duo’s impressive catalogue.  To add to that success, the duo recently came out with the single “Fixed On You,” a retro sounding house jam. This is their second official release with PRMD. The duo decided that this track would be a good one to remix and I couldn’t agree more. The hand selected remix EP out now is a refreshing mix of genres from some talented producers.

The four track remix EP features remixes from four talented artists. The first comes from the prominent house producer jackLNDN. His house roots undeniable bleed through the remix, making the track into a chilled out, vibin’ new house tune. Aire Atlantica slows down the track, creating a more hip-hop inspired, future bass environment with the remix. The track is naturally of the more laid back variety and the two first remixes demonstrated that well. However, the next two remixes took the energy up a lot with their remixes. Taiki Nulight took the track to a grimey, techno styled remix. Masayoshi Iimori traps out the original track in a way that I wouldn’t have imagined possible. This remix EP is one of the better selected remix EPs I’ve heard in awhile, blending a good variety of different genres into one. Check it out below:

Jace Mek – What If [Uprise Music] (Free Download)

At last, we finally have our ears wrapped around more curious sounds from the one and only Jace Mek.

Melding a sparse arrangement with impeccable design and ominous vocals, “What If” takes listeners on a sonic journey not unlike something you might hear from the house pedigrees of mau5trap. The new single lurches from the gates with an unnerving beat, coupled with squirreling embellishments that give every sense of being held in an alien laboratory.

Snag Jace Mek’s “What If” as a free download, and dive into the weird.

The new track, titled “I Feel It Coming,” has been highly anticipated among Daft Punk fans since it is the first music they have worked on since 2014. Daft Punk fans will be even happier to know that “I Feel It Coming” has been confirmed to feature vocals from dynamic duo.

Looking for something to hold you over until the release tomorrow? The track lyrics are below.

[Verse 1: The Weeknd]

Tell me what you really like
Baby I can take my time
We don’t ever have to fight
Just take it step-by-step
I can see it in your eyes
Cause they never tell me lies
I can feel that body shake
And the heat between your legs

[Pre-Hook: The Weeknd]

You’ve been scared of love
And what it did to you
You don’t have to run
I know what you’ve been through
Just a simple touch
And it can set you free
We don’t have to rush
When you’re alone with me

[Hook: The Weeknd + Daft Punk]

I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe

[Verse 2: The Weeknd]

You are not the single type
So baby this the perfect time
I’m just trying to get you high
And faded off this touch
You don’t need a lonely night
So baby I can make it right
You just got to let me try
To give you what you want

[Pre-Hook: The Weeknd]

You’ve been scared of love
And what it did to you
You don’t have to run
I know what you’ve been through
Just a simple touch
And it can set you free
We don’t have to rush
When you’re alone with me

[Hook: The Weeknd + Daft Punk]

I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe

[Pre-Hook: The Weeknd]

You’ve been scared of love
And what it did to you
You don’t have to run
I know what you’ve been through
Just a simple touch
And it can set you free
We don’t have to rush
When you’re alone with me

[Hook: The Weeknd + Daft Punk]

I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe
I feel it coming
I feel it coming babe

A-Trak Reveals The Process Behind His Biggest Track

main
A-Trak, born as Alain Macklovitch, is a Canadian DJ, producer, and record label owner of Fool’s Gold. He is known for his immense versatility on the decks – he was the first DJ to win all three of the major DJ competitions, DMC, ITF and Vestax (and he won the DMC World DJ Championship at the age of 15).

While A-Trak is known for his prowess as a DJ, he is also a very good producer. One of his most classic of tracks is titled “Heads Will Roll” and is internationally considered an EDM anthem. The funky fat bass line along with the catchy vocal sample in this pivotal track is something that EDM and festival-goers will immediately recognize.

A-Trak has revealed a small window into his production process – check out his Instagram post below to see the full clip. He details the song by first showing the “original bass demo” and then transitioning into the “90s demo” which features a completely different syncopated percussion line as well as bass line.
